Awareness Ride for the 7 Values of Culture, History and Healing

Ride for the awareness of the Anishinaabe Values in the community and Recovery.

Join in on the Second annual ride to be held July 6th, 2019. We will have 3 different registration points for any rider to start at either point. The first registration point will be at  43408 Oodena Drive Onamia, MN 56359. The Mille Lacs Community Center, directly across the street from the Grand Casino Mille Lacs.

If you love to ride, and want to be apart of  bringing awareness to such values in the community for recovery, this ride is for you!! As the Indigenous People have learned to live in two worlds, such values exist in both worlds, come be a part in bringing awareness back to them and support recovery!!

Event Schedule

July 6th, 2019 8:30am-10:00am Registration

From 8:30am to 10:00 registration for riders and passengers will be held at  43408 Oodena Drive Onamia, MN 56359. Community Wellbriety Brunch will be provided by the District 1 Representative Sandi Blake and her staff. Presentation on the Values, Prayer and asemaa will be presented before we depart. 

10:00-10:30 We Ride to Next Registration Point

We will enter our 2nd Registration Point at the 4 WINDS Treatment facility @ 11600 State Ave Brainerd MN. Registration, presentation and refreshments will be from 10:30-12pm

12pm - 1:30pm We Ride to Next Registration Point

At this time we will be entering our 3rd registration point at MASH-KA-WISEN Treatment Facility located @ 1150 Mission Road Sawyer MN from 1:30 to 3pm. Here we will present our values along with the Wellbriety luncheon staff and Sober Squad from the community will be preparing.

3pm to 4:30 We Ride to Final Destination

Our Final Destination Will Be the St Croix Casino @ 30222 WI-35 Danbury Wisc. Here, along with Sober Squad and the St Croix Casino, there will be a Wellbriety  feast where we can present our Values for awareness and utilizing them in recovery.

Each Rider can Register at either Registration Points and ride from there. Passengers will also be required to Register. Registration Fee for rider and passenger will be a non perishable item that can be used by residents in the program. Clarification on such items will be posted once approved and identified by each facility. Stayed tuned for that update. All items will become donations for the Treatment Facility where the Registration was done. Please drop us a line below to Pre-Registration for this event. IF YOU ARE IN RECOVERY AND INTERESTED IN BEING A PRESENTER, PLEASE INCLUDE THIS IN THE  MESSAGE BODY OF THE EMAIL BELOW.

During Each Registration Point

We will speak about the 7 Values we are Riding for and incorporate their meaning and use for recovery at each stop. A Wellbriety event will be held at each stop so those participating in the ride who are in recovery, feel free to share your story. As other events become available at each Registration Point, we will post them here. This event is an alcohol and drug free event with designated smoking areas at each registration site.    “Please use commercial tobacco in designated areas only!”
